You do NOT need to write your own address.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Model Answer:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Last week I bought a formal shirt from your clothing store but found it faulty after reaching home. And when I took it back to your store for a change on the same day, the assistant denied the change or refund!
The assistant asserted that products once sold will never be interchanged or refunded. I was astonished that you do not change the sold products if they are found faulty! It is even against the consumer rights specifically mentioned in the law. Surprisingly, your sales-persons did not mention that to me when I purchased it!
I think you should revise the policy to comply with the law.
In fact, at times this is impossible to check all the items people buy. They might be in a hurry or the fault might be hard to find at the store. The shirt I bought had some irremovable black marks that I failed to notice during my purchase.
Therefore, I will highly appropriate if you kindly exchange the shirt or refund me the purchase amount so that I could buy a new one from a different outlet. In case you deny that I will have no option but to seek professional advice from a lawyer as this is not about money, but about my rights as a consumer.
Yours faithfully,
Roger Nick.
