You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.You recently went shopping at the local supermarket. When you got home and noticed your bill, you found that you had been charged for items you did not purchase.
Write a letter to the supermarket manager explaining what has happened. Tell the manager how you feel about the error and tell the manager what you would like him/her to do about it.You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write your own address.
Model Answer:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Kuo Chen, a local resident of Tianjin. Last Thursday, I went shopping at Hisense Plaza in Tianjin and visited your superstore. However, I was startled when I checked my bill after getting home. I was overcharged and billed for items I have not purchased!
I bought some kitchen vegetables from your superstore with some dishwashing liquids. But I was charged for two pieces of towels, a perfume of Dunhill brand and some other cosmetic products. The unusual transaction drew my attention when I returned home and checked the pay slip I received from your superstore.
Something went wrong! The person in the billing point might have altered someone’s bill with mine. It would be appreciating if you look into the matter and refund me the overcharged amount or can also offer me some vouchers against the overcharged bill to shop from your superstore.
