You celebrated your birthday with some friends last week in a restaurant. It was a great success and you and your friends enjoyed the evening very much.

Write a letter to the restaurant to thank them. Mention the food, service and the atmosphere. Also, suggest any improvements to make things better.

Dear Mr Joseph,

I am David Brown, a frequent diner at your restaurant. I am writing to thank you for making my birthday celebration special last Monday.

I invited a few of my friends to my 22nd birthday that I decided to celebrate at your restaurant. We went there to have our dinner and we were very satisfied with the cordial behaviour of the staff and the delicious menu they served us. I was taken aback by the complimentary dessert that your restaurant manager offered us. I must say I was very satisfied with the food and service and our friends also appreciated the programme. One of them even mentioned that he would like to arrange his niece's 7th birthday in your restaurant.

A soft background music instead of the live music performance would have been better, I believe. At a time I felt that the live music is a bit louder. Besides, I would suggest enriching the vegetarian menu.

Thank you once again for making my birthday celebration a success. Hope to dine at your restaurant soon.

I will remember the delicious flavour of the cake for a long. I am pleased with all the service you rendered at the event. It was a different experience for us all. But, I would like to say that the experience could have been far better if we were allowed to celebrate on the rooftop. In fact, you should keep a provision to arrange such parties on the rooftop.
