Write a letter to the college director requesting to change your course. You should include details about:

     – what course are you doing now
     – why you are not satisfied with that course
     – what course would you like to change to

Dear Sir,

I am an undergraduate student in your college and writing to seek your permission to change a course I have taken this semester. I took ‘Statistics and Analysis’ at the beginning of this semester, exactly 8 days ago and would like to take Sociology instead.

I took Statistics and Analysis according to the recommendation of a senior student but it appears quite difficult to me. I am an Arts major and have had little exposure to higher mathematics so far. I am not enjoying the subject and I fear, I would be unable to carry a good grade with this course. So, I would like to change it.

I would prefer Sociology instead of Statistics. The course is simpler and requires less analytical skills than Statistics. Hence, it would be a great favour to me if you kindly allow me to change the course and continue with Sociology for my better academic performance.
