Model Answer:
Dear Mr Alex,
I, am Austin Thomas, would like to inform you that I have been maintaining a current account with your bank for the past few years and recently, I got a letter from the bank about erroneous transaction records.
The record shows that I have overdrawn and I need to pay an extra amount for this. The whole transaction record is wrong and I did not overdraw my account. The letter that I received from your bank last Tuesday, states that I overdrew $240 from my current account and I will be charged $40 due to this. I did not do such transaction and it must be an error made from your end.
Do check the transaction history of my account and alert your staff to be more cautious about sending imaginary transaction records to clients.
So, I would like to ask you to recheck the documents properly and hope you will track the mistakes (that I am sure happened from your end). And I do not want to be liable for your blunders.
Yours sincerely,
Austin Thomas.
