IELTS GT Writing Task 1 (Letter Writing) Sample:
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.You cannot go to a company where you got an offer. Write a letter to the HR supervisor to:
- explain the reason why you decline the offer- express your gratitude
- explain why you like your current job very much
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write your own address.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Mr Alex,
Thank you so much for your offer for the position of Public Relation Expert in your esteemed company. It was a very nice offer and remuneration package was great indeed. But I am unable to accept it right now.
I have been working with the present organization for the past five years and it is really fun to work with them. Besides, the company was generous to me all the time. They are also pleased with my service and I have an excellent relationship with the management. I have a great career potential here and would not like to switch my job yet.
But I am extremely grateful to you that you have asked me to join your company. And it would be better for me if I could be a part of your team. But alas! I am unable and actually unwilling too to leave the current position.
Anyway. Thank you so much again for selecting me.
