Your neighbours have a dog that is noisy at night. You can’t sleep.

Write a letter to your neighbours. In your letter:

- describe the problem with the dog
- explain why it is important for you to sleep
- outline what your neighbours could do about the situation.

Dear Mr Jones,

Hope this letter finds you in good health and euphoric mode. The party you arranged last month was a great one and all of us enjoyed it thoroughly. However, today I am writing to complain about the constant noise that your dog makes every night.

I waited at least a week before writing this letter. I thought the dog might be sick and would stop barking at night when he gets better, but this is getting harder each day. I work in an investment bank and needs to wake up early morning. Sleeping at night is important for me to remain active the next day. Sadly, when I go to bed at night, the dog starts growling and I can not sleep for several hours.

I like pets and see owning pets positively. I am not sure what makes your dog bark so loudly and ceaselessly every night. I guess you can take your dog to an animal care centre to sort things out and find out what problem he is having.

Hope you are fine and doing great with your family. I have seen your dog a few days ago and he looks adorable. I am so sorry to mention that the constant barking of your dog at night disrupts my sleep seriously. I waited for about two weeks to have things sorted out but have no other way than to let you know this issue now.

In fact, I do love animals but this time, the situation is going beyond control. Almost every night, your dog starts barking when I go to bed. I do not know why it happens and the dog barks ceaselessly. I usually go to bed by 10:30 pm and have to wake up several times hearing the noise of your dog. As I work with the municipality, I have to attend office early and thus I need an early bed. Without a sound sleep at night I cannot concentrate on my work.

I think you should consult with any veterinary of animal doctor to find out why the dog makes so loud noise at night. Some other neighbours are in the same view as mine. Hope you would take immediate steps to solve this pressing issue. Take care and please visit us someday.
